Our detailed understanding of retail and brand visibility means we are uniquely qualified to work on both Private Label and “self-propelled” brands which lack the luxury of significant advertising support and must perform on-shelf if they are to succeed.

 

Self-propelled brands

Some mega brands are in the enviable position of dominating their categories. Perhaps they benefit from high advertising and promotional spends that create demand, sending consumers to the shops to actively seek them out. Or their critical mass allows them to set conventions, not follow them.

Other brands are less fortunate. Unable to afford demand-building advertising and promotional budgets, they rely on performance at point of purchase to ensure they are seen and selected by passing shoppers. We call these self-propelled brands, and we consider them an enjoyable challenge.
